Christa Joy music in feature film

Many surprising things happened in 2020, one event being Christa Joy giving birth to twins (Walden/Wally and Wren arrived in late July). In other fun and adventurous news, Christa Joy’s song “On the Shunpike” appeared in 2021 in a feature film, Sometime Other Than Now. Shunpike means “the slow road” or “the road around the highway.” It is also the name of the road Christa grew up on, Shunpike Road, in Sheffield, MA. The song is largely biographical and retrospective. The recurring line—”oh my life. Oh my life is fine. Oh my life is fine on the Shunpike.” Given her life was lived slowly in 2020 and 2021, it seemed fitting this song would make its way to the larger world on its own.
